I just wonder what others experience is with the sphincter spasm?
What does it feels like for you?
I think mine feels like a dump pain(clenching of the anus in a way). Sometimes it is painless(but very uncomfortable). I am having this 24/7.
Sometimes when I am having a BM it feels like a monster is coming out but when I look at it the poo it is normal and sometimes very small.
Is this normal? The very high dose of botox should have taken care of this but the relief only lasted 2-3 days :(

I can only describe it as a painful clenching, tightening of the rectal area that comes and goes in waves, at least that is how I experienced it.

I think I have intermittent sphincter spasms, and they feel like a dull ache (if that is what it really is). Mine does seem to go away after a time.

ive noticed a little dicomfort lately,my fissure has been healed for a year,but i notice a little tightness from time to time,i am using some leftover nitro cream,but it really doesnt seem to do much,maybe i have another related problem cause there is no discomfort when i apply the cream like when i had the fissure and the nitro hit it,it burned,stinged like crazy.but mine felt like a constant tense muscle,never really was terrible pain,more of a annoyance...

I bum would just clench up when I was having a bowel movement. Like it was scared to have one. I still get this occasional. Other than that, I would have some twiches and discomfort occasionally, and a pinching feeling.
Dano - What kind of discomfort have you have lately?

my spasms were hell on earth! They were worse than childbirth and I was rolling on the bed c rying from them and I just wanted to die! The diltiazem really helped though.

My spasms felt like a knife in my butt at first, but after I started my treatment they went to a dull nagging ache. At least I could still function with that a little bit.

hey iamtiredofthis,just noticing a little dull ache from time to time and the muscle seems a little tighter than i remember.i restarted the cream,seems better now,but not quite 100% like 90% or so,almost like my rear is sore from a large doo doo or something,but not like fissure pain..

That dull ache is killing me! So far today I have not had an BM but still the god damn ache is still there. Not as strong as before but none the less.. Have anybody who have had LIS experienced that when they had the surgury this pain went away ASAP?
