Jen, Valdosta State University is in, well, Valdosta!! You'd be fairly close to both the GA and FLA coasts and you could go gatoring in the Okeefenokee, or on Safari at Wild Adventures. Get ready for heat and humidity, though!!

GATORING??? That sounds like something my hubby and his brothers did when they were younger. They have this funny sorry about catching a small alligator and putting it in their pool as children. Yikes - Banana spiders and gators!
I can deal with the weather - all it means is my hair will be really curly like yours! :)

The banana spiders will be the least of your worries -- the brown recluses and black widows might give you more pause! At least there are no scorpions like Lecia has around her place!
My good friend has a lake here and we often go "gatoring" at night, we grab them and pull them into the boat and shake them at each other!! Poor gators!
Yep, you'll really need that hair-straightening iron thingy down there!

I am just going to throw the hair iron thingy away kim - there is really no use for it in humid weather!
I will be sure to call you crocodile dundee from now on! :)

he he - nope , that is my younger youngling lol couple of years back. She was some sort of "Ghost Bride" or something like that ha ha, she never EVER wanted to be something sweet as all other of her girly-girl friends - always had to be scary Image ! So, she was a Red Dragon, Alien, Girl- warrior , Medusa , Girl Pirate and so forth , driving her older sister crazy since she was always a Fairy, or Princess, or Go-go girl .
PS: Never saw such a tiny cuko in my life :D !!!
