Sigh, my stomach cannot digest beef like it use too.

Postby Raul » 31 Dec 2008, 14:08

Hello all,
I have been doing very well the last couple of weeks, little or no sign of bleeding, and the spasms have been diminishing to almost not at all after a BM. I have been following everyone's advice here on the forum as to using Vaseline before going to have a BM and that has actually helped out a lot.
I normally eat chicken, fish and some pork for protein, but 2 days ago I ate some beef fajita meat, and well today I had the biggest and thickest BM that I have had since I originally tore my anal area. Image
I did not have any pain nor did I see blood on the tissue paper or the stool. I was really suprised that there was no pain followed by the BM, I still took 2 advil just in case pain came, but it did not come.
This just happen about an hour ago, so I'm hoping I did not retear the anal area again.
Oh, before I forget. may everyone here have a HappY New YeAr!!!

LOL, funny Kim :D
I remember when I use to tell my friends,"I'll be back, I'm going to lay some bricks". It always got a laugh. Image
Now I really get worried when my stool is bigger than the size of a banana.

Sounds like you're doing great Raul. It's actually a good sign to pass large volumes and not have any problems.
You should be "proud" of your produce! Image

good progress raul!
as to the "size of a banana"... Image i can't pass anything bigger than a finger without horrible pain, stretching and tearing. banana size would kill me! yikes!

I keep telling myself that I'm making progress, but in the same time I don't want to be to overconfident about my present condition.
A lot of reading on this site has taught me that this thing can re tear anytime, if not careful.
It is frustrating at times, but it's good to have a site like this to vent out.

Oh and I gave up eating beef for the time being, and notice that my bm's have gone back to their normal smaller, softer and fluffy consistency.

I think chicken and fish are easier to digest than beef, and I eat very little of the latter.

"Produce" again Kim Image
Red meat is bad for fissures, but other than that I think that one can "toughen up" one's digestion by slowly introducing things like red meat, etc. Of course this doesn't help if one is allergic or intolerant...
