I am using nifedipine 0.2 ointment, do you think it is better to put the cream on after or before bowel movements?
I was thinking before is better cuz it creates a little vaseline barrier and maybe it would protect my fissure more.
I was also thinking that the poop may take the ointment off as well? That would be bad

Yes, I agree with Tabby! Both!

Both - you put it before BM to relax the sphincter so it wont get into big spasm ,and than after because you wash your butt and cream is gone - so it needs re-application.
