How about some success stories?

Postby Nebelwerfer_ » 15 Oct 2009, 19:04

After reading all these forum posts I am beginning to get a pessimistic outlook on a 100% recovery. All the major websites say that half of AF's heal on their own and dont require surgury. Can you guys point me in the direction of some forum posts from members here who are all better?

Kim, Tabby, and I are all better. Kim and Tabby both had LIS, and I healed using dilitiazem ointment.

it's unfortunate, but a lot of us stick around on forums like this because we haven't healed. many people get better and disappear, so of course you'll just hear the worst of the worst stories on here, especially from the longtime members.
i've been relieved to meet many other people online who've had multiple surgeries and are still not healed. but i've also read tons of stories of people who heal wonderfully after one simple LIS. to be so lucky!

It would be nice if we had a poll breaking it down to which specific treatment has healed a person but Juney is right, most ppl who get better don't stick around so it can never be accurate.

Well, I'm not 100% right now but on a scale of 0 to 10 I now spend most days at a 0 or 1! I've had an ongoing fight with my fissure for years but it spends most of its time hidden away without bothering me. Same thing for the skin tags. I haven't had any surgery and have used nitro, Calmoseptine, Balneol and a daily combo of stool softener and laxative. A few times during the month I use ibuprofen for pain.

BTW, does anyone know if Nifedipine has any long term usage problems? cause I think i just found my wonder drug :)
Nothing this good can last though, does your body build a resistance to it? does long term usage make you incontinent, etc?

It doesn't say on the label or pamphlet that came with your medication?I do believe ppl here keep using it for as long as they need to.So does the nif take effect for you right away or does it take time and consistent dose before it takes effect and how long does it last for you? When I apply the nitro it takes 20 min to take effect then I'm loose as a goose for 3 hours :) Wish it would last longer but if they had a longer lasting nitro my head would explode from the extreme migraine Image
