Hey NG- you should try out the alcohol this weekend and give me a full report, so I'll know if I can have some next Friday for my birthday! lol :)

Haha it sounds like a bunch of us need a break :) I'm thinking about giving a beer or maybe a shot or two a go this weekend, if that happens I'll post back with a report of how it went Happy to be the guinea pig, since I'm getting LIS in a few weeks anyway I figure I may as well explore the boundaries of the fissure world a bit before then.

Well, had a couple beers last night and today hasn't been too bad so far. Knock on wood, but I think the "experiment" went alright :)

Alcohol is generally and BIG no-no : (( - it dehydrates the poop .
We had couple of members who had a re-tear after a single "indulgence" *sigh...

i've been on a couple trips (going to branson again later this morning)...
all went well--except the trip to san antonio was pretty rough--i tried my hardest to sleep from mid-missouri to austin, tx...i finished the drive to san antonio--there were a lot of drugs taken on that drive...luckily i was able to lay down in the back seat and sleep (i had just gotten off a 12 hour shift at the hospital)
i haven't been using very many pain killers and not a lot of valium either...
i did have a drink in san antonio and another in new orleans, and i didn't have any problems (both were fruity, girly mixed drinks)...
i have my pre-op appointment on monday and although i'm a little anxious i'm hoping that i'll have great results like other people on the board...
my operation is on monday may 10 and i haven't heard back yet to find out if i'll be back at work on wednesday or thursday night--depends on the other night person...hopefully she'll be nice to me...
hope everybody else is doing well...must get back to work...

Good to hear that the drinks went well :) So you are going back to work just 2-3 days after LIS?
