Hi Hopetoheal,
Well i finally got a reply from the consultant, he said it was not unusal to have the pain / bleeding, but it should have settled, so looks like it might need further botox / surgery?
I have a follow up on the 12th August 2011, so not long to wait now, still have pain, but the bleeding has stopped which is one good thing!!

Hi Andy - I'm so sorry you're still having pain :(
It is good that the bleeding has stopped, though. It's also good that your follow up isn't to far away now. Even so, it is difficult to wait when you're in pain. I really know about that! It seems that you and I have really had to fight to get our butts fixed. I've been recovering from two butt surgeries since May 10th, so I completely understand how discouraging it can be to struggle with all this for so long.
If you are given a choice between the botox and the LIS, which do you think you will choose? Are you still taking painkillers?
I hope you are having a good day without too much pain.

Hi Hopetoheal
if given a choice i would go for LIS, botox is not working and don't see the need to go through this again if it clearly isn't working, will let you know how on i get on on the12th August

Hi Andy - that sounds sensible. It's really not right that you are still suffering after all this.
Good luck with your appointment on the 12th!

Hi Andy, I hope things get better for you. It sounds like you have been through a rough time overall! I'm no expert, only diagnosed with this 10 weeks ago. I know how low it can get you, I have done 10 weeks worth of treatment and am getting nowhere so considering going private and seeing a CRS as am under a general surgical team at the minute. I really hope things improve for you :)
