OK, so this is stupid question no 1, I'm sure there will be more to come...
I was diagnosed with a fissure at 6 o'clock. Is that next to the base of the spine or the perineum ? Or some other place ??

Well, it depends whether it's from your view or theirs! I thought mine was 7 o clock, my crs says it's at 4 o clock!

Mine told me nowt but I know the pain intensifies on my left...End of the day, don't blinkin care what time it says on my deriere. They all hurt like hell :(
Know this much,
it's time they went!!!!!

I went for a consultation yesterday and was told my fissure was in the 6 o'clock position. He told me that this was by my coccyx which is why it is sore by there :D

Mine was @12 towards the spine. 6 is towards the perineum.
Both 6 & 12 are the most common places for fissures.
Fissures located in other locations are more likely to be associated with an underlying disorder (eg, Crohn's disease)

Mine is the same as Dawn, the 12 o'clock postion towards the spine.

Well the soreness tells me it is towards the spine, but my GP said 6 o'clock...

There's that many nerves in the rectum and anus that pain can be felt all around so it's hard to say without a proper viewing of the fissure, My fissure was at 6 o'clock but swore it was elsewhere

Same here Steve. I could have swore my pain was coming from the left side of my " :oops: " and I have no idea what O'clock that would be?!! LOL.
If my CRS hadn't told me, I would have never guessed where it was located.

Are these located inside? Some photo's I looked at showed it like a paper cut on the exterior. I just have so much blood. Going to the doctor tomorrow.
