Re-tear 2 days after not taking Movicol :-(

Postby of all the places to hurt » 22 Sep 2011, 13:30

Hi everyone,
Just thought I would share this: 2 days of becoming complacent and knowing my fissures have healed with Diltiazem and Movicol. And now: re-torn! Spasms back, blood and jelly? Well, moral of the story is take your meds everyday without fail. Or end up back to square 1. I have been on the sofa for last 2 days. So don't become complacent Image

Oh no Andrea! Oh poor you. I think it does remain very very fragile down there for months after it has supposedly healed. They do tend to come back again just when you think you've got rid of them. :(
What do you mean, jelly?? Could it be blood clots??
Hope you feel better very soon xx Image

Ooh poor you. As you know I've been silly today and am expecting to pay for it later/tomorrow, despite being "healed" too.
Hope you're better soon x

Sorry Andrea Image
I hope things get back on track for you soon! Fissures darn sure don't give any breaks. One slip up is all it takes... Image
Val's right though, it will take awhile before that area is strong again.

Aww that's good Andrea :D I hope each passing day shows improvement for you and those spasms go back into hiding!
I remember having four pretty decent weeks with my fissure and not knowing how long it really took to get things right back there. I ate about a 1/2 a can of planters freaking peanuts Image OMG the next day- felt like barb wire coming out of my butt Image It's horrible and takes so long for that area to get strong Image
