Postby sweetdimple67 » 04 Oct 2011, 12:12

I have not had a BM since this morning but about 30 mins ago I got a sudden urge to go but when I sat on the toilet it would not come out but now my butt is throbbing like it wants to come out Image I dont want to push in case it rips my fissure more but I am scared of not going in case it makes the stool too hard for nxt time ...what do I do Image shall I have a warm bath o se if that helps :(

Bath, vasoline, leather belt to bite down on and a prayer. Once the horse is at the gate I don't think you can do much to get it back in the stall.

Try putting a baby wipe under very hot water and holding it to the area.

Definately get in the bath for one! Also, don't try pushing it out tonight unless you get the urge to go! Get some Milk of Magnesia in you? and everyday, take movicol to soften up etc....

i totally understand how u feel, i was right at the bottom not too long ago and the healing curve is always ups and downs. If u have any questions, just shoot. Or if u want to vent here, just do it

Don't push with your anus/ rectum! The strain is bad for the fissure, and can lead to hemmies too!
I actually have mono in my enteric nervous system so things haven't been moving so easily, even though everything is nice and soft between my diet and the miralax.
I use the technique in this video, and I really recommend it for pushing without straining: http://www.pelvicexercises.com.au/bowel-movement/
