If your a man and had LIS, questions.

Postby TonyStone » 06 Oct 2011, 18:47

Ok, you had it and I have to, questions. I am about a week in.
1-my ass smells, pre surgery it was not an issue. Now, it's like it's following me. Wash-up, soak, sitz. Still ass smell. Is that normal? Old farts and dried blood? I dunno.
2-what do the doc do that bruises my ass so bad? Am I gonna be walking down the street one day and have a few dudes wink at me?
3-my farts are now a throaty bass sound now, anyone else?
4-how long does it take for stitches to dissolve?
5-do I need to put a pantie liner in when I go back to work. How the hell is that not gonna be noticeable?
Thanks, Tony Image

I had the smell also. Was not that bad though. I believe it was a product of the bleeding and normal discharge from the wounds. I took 3 baths a day and used a small squirt bottle to keep the area clean. This sounds funny but I would also in private use a fan to help dry the area. I am not one to hold a dryer over my rear. The bruising is caused when your surgeon cut the muscle and bleeding occurred under the skin. I had the same thing happen. As to your gas question it most likely is due to your muscle not being as tight as before. It's been just 2 months for me and it does go back to normal but not too tight. Not to sound strange but I did wear a liner when I was away from home. Have you wife get you the extra thin ones they do help a lot and you will not have to worry about your clothes or leaking in public. I have to admit it was strange and I never could get used to have one back there. I would takes baths as long as you want. I still soak several tomes a week.

1- Yep. Got the discharge and it smells like raw hamburg. You want graphic, there it is.
2- No clue what they do. No bruises here, yet. I'm slow to bruise normally so it may come on later. 2 weeks out and nothing. My CRS must've had the chinese "Gentle touch".
3- Yah, mine were too. It's looser down there now man so they'll pass easier. Much better than the "fartin' through a coffee stirrer" days though huh? Mine have gotten back to normal somewhat at 2 weeks post-op.
4- I have no idea but will ask the CRS this afternoon. My fiance' is a surgical tech and said they can last anywhere from days, to a week to over a month. IMO, suture that sucker up for a month plus. With the time it takes to heal fissure, my guess is they use a slow-disolving suture.
5- Yah man (head held low) I wear one now. The discharge, for me, is not bad enough to hit the pad. I put some TP up there or a small gauze everyday and the pad. Just in case. It's supposed to be temporary and I'm secure enough to wear one so what the heck, right?

Rosa, it's terrible. I gotta wash my clothes in gasoline. Think I may end up putting a stick up air freshner on my lower back.
