Postby UltrabeaT » 19 Oct 2011, 13:11

Right since ive been taking movicol my BM's are awesome!!! Image
they only thng getting to me now is this like lump thing i have... its hard to explain id say is like where my fissure is but externally. so like you no the "wrinkled skin that is the anus, one of those seems swollen? its well painful if i squeeze it, had to see what was going on. it was almost like a spot pain.. i dont know if anyone understands this at all.
i asked my doctor when i was last there ages ago and he just said what ever it is it will be because of the fissure... yh thats right but what is it... Image
will i need a CRS to take a look. whats the chance of it being a fistula or piles or something i dunno

Hi Ultrabeat? Is this after surgery or did you have surgery? I had what appeared to be a thrombosed hemorrhoid. Is it red, blue, swollen? Did your doctor look at the lump or just advise you without looking at it? If he looked at it he should have been able to tell you what it was. What kind of doctor did you see?

Well, I am not a doctor bit it sounds like an external hemorrhoid or an internal hemorrhoid that can come out due to a lot of irritation from a fissure and of course the BMs we obviously can't avoid. If it turns red, gets bigger, blue or more painful, I would see an internal doctor or a colon/rectal doctor for a second opinion. Or possibly just some swelling due to the irritation of the fissure and BMs. As you probably already know, the key is fiber, water and smooth BMs. I had surgery four weeks ago for a very large and deep fissure, a rectal abcess and a hemorrhoidectomy. And, before all of this took place, I had one of those "sticking out" but my fissure was very bad along with the infection so surgery was my only option. Sounds like you are doing all the right things and have it under control. If you don't
feel right about it, I would see a specialist if things get worse. Mine was pale in the beginning and felt filled with liquid until it became thrombosed and then it turned an ugly red/blue along with terrible pain. It was palpable and easily felt with my finger. Just curious....when you pointed it out to the doctor did he/she actually look at it? It sounds like irritation. Have you tried any creams or ointments to help calm things down a little?

Oh, and by the way, it was filled with liquid initially until thrombosed and became very hard (almost like a rock). If that happens, see a specialist right away. :-)

Yep might be piles, which is not uncommon with fissure sufferers like myself. Once we are constipated for a period of time, had straining an pushing before, piles could appear and to stay...
I m tryin to heal myself of my internal prolapsed piles after my fissure calmed down now

It could well be external hemmies, is there any itching present? I get very bad internal hemmies which cause throbbing and burning, sometimes they itch so bad I just want to get a sheet of sandpaper on my arse. I've had several procedures on my hemmies including Schlerotherapy and Rubber band ligation (RBL) which made them disappear for a while, my CRS told me that they had gone when he performed my LIS as there was no sign of them, but now I fear they have returned due to recent constipation issues.

It could also be a skin tag along with the fissure. I am battling that now. My tag is the size of a raisin and extremely tender to touch. I think at this point it is more painful than my fissure, it throbs and aches all day. Not a thrombose I had one of those a couple of years ago and my surgeon removed it.
