Overnight spasms . . .

Postby Jojo1 » 26 Oct 2011, 04:14

Quick question
I started spasming about an hour ago, bad burning and spasming and not sure why. Late night with rehearsal qnf got home at 11. Did soak and went to bed. Had bm at 3am, did soak wnd gtn and back to bed. Burning spasm started @5am so bad I grabbed ice pak and placed against it . Seemed to help more placed at the very top of the divide, bade of the spine. Just got up to see if another soak helps . . .
Hmmm . . . was gonna ask if wnyone had an idea why wnd if that happens to you, but I think I might be answering my own question. I am soaking now and beginning to feel I have to go . . . burning spasm not the warning I want.
Nit sure, so I will still ask the question. Any ideas?

Well, I think I rid answer my question. Had to jump out of the tub as I was pressing send on my post. Geez, louise-a-mighty . . . That is NOT the poop signal I would prefer. As I think about it it's happened a couple times . . . actually before a more "soupy" movement which this one was. This morning's gonna be trying cuz the softer, wetter ones irritate more.
May need to adjust miralax or increase fiber. Last couple of days I've learned the firmer stools that take a little initial effort are more frightening cuz the stretch a little (which the should), but is a more complete elimnation with marginally less pain over the next hours. Only a little less pain, but I'll take it.

for spasms, u can try to take magnesium supplements... they relaxes ur muscles. It works for me and some people here on board. Plus it keeps constipation at bay and soften stools, and many other benefits.

either one. I'm taking magnesium oxide 400mg every night before i sleep. But mag citrate is the better absorbed one which i learnt about after i bought my bottle of mag.

I never suffered with spasms during the night but can imagine how frustrating it must be waking up with them, I'd try using a hot water bottle between the cheeks filled with warm water, or as hot as you can tolerate.
