hi there developed a anal fissure after 6 weeks of constant runs and off and on slight constipation during after anti biotics, just been for a sigmoidoscopy which nearly killed me ,the specialist seem to think i was over reacting to how painful it was,he told me the camera wouldn't necassary pick a fissure up,afterwards he gave me a quick look around but said it was probably only a simple tear/fissure not to stress and worry about it fissures heal of their own accord and he prescibed "anoheal"2 weeks of using that i went back to my own g.p explained things and he said 2 weeks wasn't enough i needed to give it at least 6 weeks but i told him it feels even worse once anoheal cream applied and he has told me not to use it for the time being and for a couple of weeks to try xyloproct, i am a really bad fibromyalgia sufferer and have been 12 yrs but this pain takes the biscuit,it feels like you are walking about with a cattle prodder up your rectum!! you all know what i mean!! could someone tell me what a crs doctor is? the guy who did my sigmoidoscopy was a gastroenterologist i want to know what a crs is please thanks :lots of love to all the bums out there!!

Sorry can't comment too much on your fissure as your circumstances are different to mine but a CRS is a colorectal surgeon.
