Just an update, my last appointment with my surgeon was 4/16, a second follow up to see how I was doing post op. I finally got to hear the words I've been praying to hear, "fistula healed!" I'm still having a tiny amount of drainage but was told this improves vastly over time as you continue healing. This feels too good to be true so I'm cautiously optimistic. Prayers for everyone still suffering from fissures or fistulas! Wanted to tell my story so I could share the hope of healing!
