fissure (one big pain in the behind!)

Postby ellieanne » 22 Jun 2012, 11:52

Hi, Ive been suffering with this anal fissure for the past 8 months now , I went private to see the consultant and 2 weeks later had the botox. its been 7 days since the botox, the first 3 days i didnt have much of the spasms but day 5 the spasms have come back and i feel that the botox has let me down big time.. Can anyone please tell me if its too early to know whether it will work or not? I feel really tired of it all! I try to think positive but i dont think people relise how depressing it makes you feel! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Image

The botox can take 1 - 1.5 weeks to work. I had it done in November and still had minor spasms until a week and a half after. Can you use rectogesic at the same time? That is what I have been told I need to do after my next procedure. It also depends on how much botox they inject too :)
