Fissurectomy with LIS and Tag removal

Postby Anya324 » 10 Oct 2012, 14:15

I am about 4 hours out of surgery and feeling good still. I handsome concerns about the possibility of having a flap but my Dr didn't need to do it so that was a relief!
I have a VERY slight sense of discomfort where the fissure was so I'm sure that will be intensifying over the next few hours. I want to take pain meds but wonder if I should wait a bit. I have a headache and I'm sure the narcotics won't make it any better. I guess I just have to pick the lesser of two evils-hehe Image

Doing ok today but no BM yet... FSR being on my desktop computer relaxes me enough to go usually (been this way for YEARS! crazy, right?!?) so I've ventured out to the office while the kids are napping to see I can get things moving. I don't feel like theres any poo in there to come out but there will be soon enough, I'm sure.
I was given Toradol and Vicoden for pain and thought since they are oth every six hours I could maximize the benifit by taking them separately every 3hrs. Ex: Toradol at 3, Vicoden at 6, Toradol 9, Vicoden 12. My pain level was pretty high, 6-7 when I woke up this morning so I took them together after I having a great big bowl of Bob's Red Mill Oats Image and WOW! I feel great! and a little nauseous...haha

Thanks for clarifying. Same thing used to happen to me a lot also when I was talking on the phone--needing to go to the bathroom!
How are you feeling today, Anya?
