CRS can't see it

What if CRS can't see the fissure. Have 2 - one can be seen and I guess the other can't. Can i just convinve him or is there a way for it to be seen? Thanks

It's actually pretty common for fissures to be missed on exam. They aren't always easily visualized from an external exam. It also really depends on the day you are examined, how deep the fissure is, how far inside it is located, how thorough the physician can be given the risk f causing more pain and damage to the fissure by stretching the area too much. Unfortunately, it doesn't mean they aren't there. If there is pain and/or bleeding, something is causing it.

If it can't be seen through a basic examination they usually put you under sedation and examine further inside. My fissure wasn't visible until they looked further up the back passage but one way or another they have to find the source of pain
