Pleeeasssee HELP: Sorry for the description!

Postby ajl1239 » 24 Oct 2012, 08:13

I have been on a fissure diet for over a week now and stools have been quite soft, blood diminished and less pain (although still some spasms towards evening for some reason.)
Anyway, when my stools come out there is no blood in the water, on the stools or even when I am wiping. But towards one point of my butt, if I even stick the toilet paper into the crack just a few CM or so I get bright blood on the toilet paper. Towards the front of the butt, I think.
Could this be a hemorrhoid? I'm so confused by this whole condition...thanks.

Hello ajl, sorry for the problems that you are going through. Yes, this could be hemorrhoids since fissures are generally (but certainly not always) in the back.
Hemorrhoids don't normally cause spasms, though, so it's possible that you have both of them (which was my case and is very common).

It could be hems, it's hard to tell. It's great to hear you are following a good diet and getting your stools nice and soft, but the only way to tell what's going on down there is for someone to look. Have you seen your doctor?

OMB, yes, the GP I saw last said that she just saw a fissure. I asked if there was a lump and she said no, which is sort of odd, but I guess I'm confused because when I wipe I feel like something is 'there' where the blood is coming from. Perhaps this is one of those skin tags?
