Diltiazem cost?

Postby coconut » 05 Feb 2013, 11:48

I wondering if Diltiazem is expensive from the compounding pharmacy. I was shocked when the rectiv cream turned out to be $500!!! (I did use the $40 coupon, but it's still crazy expensive.) And then I only used it 3 times before giving up entirely because the side effects incapacitated me. I really wish I knew someone I could pass that cream onto. I'm too frugal to just throw it out, so its sitting there in my drawer with the rest of my museum of stuff that didn't help my fissue pain.

Oh, my I had no idea how expensive the nitro cream is, that is incredible. Sorry that you spend so much for it and could not even use it all.
I have to give it up because side effects of irritation, rash and itching, but it was covered under my insurance.

I just got back from the pharmacy. It cost $75. I put just a dab on and the relief was almost instant. Is this just a placebo effect? I hope not. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
(That I did not flinch at the $75 tells you how much pain I'm in. I am a CHEAP person. Image )

1/2 hour later and I'm still feeling better. Also, I have a mild head...thing going on, but not a headache. So woot!!! I might have found some relief. (please, please, please...)

The side effects are still manageable, but I've had 3 BMs since I started this stuff, so its hard for me to tell if its working yet. I'm in pain... but three bms in 24 hours. Ouch.
I found a really helpful pdf on the internet:

I wish I lived in Georgia!
