It is now the 32th day of my fissure, similar to most of the ppl here, good days and bad days, sometimes bleeding sometimes not. Still trying hard to get my diet right to get soft BM once a day (today is a perfect day btw).
Let's take this as a good opportunity to understand ourselves better, taking healthier diet from now, and digest the message God wish to convey to us, all is well :)

Besstech I am with you when you have a fissure you get to know things about yourself and diet that never before you would have even think about, Now I am so more careful of what I eat and put in my body is not funny, sometimes it even looks like I am turned into a maniac. :D
My daughter tells me that I complain about everything in the stores when shopping for groceries. Image I call everything crap and trash.

Hi Blesstech, lets hope god can heal us. It is hard work. I have lost loads of weight, taking me down from 9 stone to just under 8. But I am willing to do anything to kill these Fissures! I would even give my right arm!

Hm, I've found it helpful to eat lots of dried fruit (coupled with even more water) -- lots of calories, fiber, nutrients that your body needs to heal. I haven't lost more than five pounds in the past month as long as I eat plenty of fruit, mostly figs, prunes, apricots, papaya, dates, etc. Putting almond butter on them is good too. I don't know if that helps or not, but it seems like if you can find fissure-friendly alternatives that are also high caloric then you can enjoy eating enough to not lose weight (and knowing that your fissure won't hate you for it the next day).

Thanks Crayon of Darkness, I will try those dried fruits. I need to put on weight! All of my clothes are falling off me!

I hope it helps! It is scary. I did lose more weight at first, but I've gained back a couple pounds since eating more dried fruit.
I buy them in bulk at nuts.com. Normally I wouldn't advertise on here, but this company sells consistently high quality (I mean delicious) dried fruits, nuts, etc. with pretty decent price tags. I usually buy 30lb bags of prunes, turkish apricots, and turkish figs, and then try some other things too so I don't get bored.
