wow, the things you learn here..Yes, as a women, I too had issues with emptying my bladder.
At first it felt forced, Image  then pressure around it, now I"m ok there.
This is what a Doctor, told a friend of mine, He told him to take a low stool or seat and place it in front of the toilet (face the toilet sitting on stool) lift your legs up(just like you would be sitting on a toilet having a BM) It worked for my friend,Oh yes and aim, sorry I'm so graphic.. Please try it.
I hope it works for you.Image

I'm quite fortunate to say that I've not had any issues urinating. I'm sorry to hear that there are so many of you that are experiencing some form of trouble. I guess which the uptake of water it's more noticeable.

I do feel the fissure stinging when I urinate. It doesn't really affect my ability to empty my bladder, meaning that I can empty it completely but I feel the last push might prevent the healing of the fissure. Not that there's much healing going on anyway...
Yeah, I feel kinda depressed today.

Aimonaali I too have felt that sting if urine gets close to the fissure so I tend to lean forward when peeing.

Well I'm a guy so the problem isn't really getting pee on the fissure:)

Hi. the reason any rectal problem can affect the bladder is because the pelvic floor muscles are all related. When you go into spasms because of an anal fissure so do your pelvic floor muscles. This can make you feel as if you have to urinated more frequentlly or may make it harder to empty your bladder. This was the first symptom I got when I got my first anal fissure. Suzy

I am also having this problem. I feel I can't empty my bladder and that when I have to go, I really have to go!

I'm a woman.  The sequence of how I pee and poo has been affected by my fissures problems.  Never an issue before.  I don't know how much has to do with 'lubing up' first thing in the morning.  Back in the day....I used to sit down, pee and then poo.  Now, it's a 'crap shoot' sometimes the poo comes first or begins and then 'sticks' the whole sequencing is different.  I'm wondering whether these are 'pelvic floor' issues but it's only been a problem when the AF has been active.  Someday, I look forward to not thinking about this, but until then.......  Best of luck!
