BURNING! side effect of Nitro?

Postby jrb » 18 Mar 2013, 05:47

Hi there. For the last few days, I've had severe burning w/ each bm. (Up until now, I haven't had painful bms, only painful spasms after.) I've been wracking my brain, trying to figure out what changed--hadn't eaten anything different. BUT I started using the nitro ab 2 wks ago, and more consistently this week. Has anyone else experienced this burning as a side effect? Note: I've only been applying the cream externally.

Yes. I started to notice more burning after applying nitro after a few weeks. But only is I did it right after BM.
Now I apply 1cm nitro before BM, and then 2,5cm at night.
After BM I apply diltiazem now. Doesnt seem to have noticable sideeffects.

Hmmm maybe I applied it too soon after a bm. and i also used it at night before bed. It seems like the skin is really red, feels sore/raw in that whole area and a little bit inside. I was careful not to use too much, but maybe my skin is really sensitive to it. I had to stop using it to see if the burning goes away. I'm bummed bc so many of you say the nitro is what allowed you to heal.

Doesnt sound good. Be very carefull to get it inside. Use a mirror if you must.
I had burning problems from nitro if applied right after BM. Thats why Im using diltiazem at that time now.
Diltiazem should be just as good as nitro, but without many of the bad sideeffects. Maybe you should be using that instead?

Funny that you say be careful to apply it inside. My CRS told me to just apply it outside. I later read on one of those fissure web sites that it should be applied inside like you say. By then I was too sore, and stopped using it altogether.

I think mine was starting to give me irritation, so I stopped it :( 4 weeks. Started to feel a tight irritated feeling on the side that never before had pain.
