Burning pain with nitro

Postby Mariaw » 02 Nov 2017, 15:10

Hi all! I just started applying nitro cream yesterday, this morning was my second application. When I applied it last night it was ok, I didn't notice any unpleasant reaction. But about an hour after applying it this morning I noticed the area was very sore and burning. I feel like the nitro irritated the skin. It's been a few hours now, and it's better. But not fully gone. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi!

When my fissure was at its worst, so in the beginning I noticed this and sometimes it would last all day! But as healing has occurred the burning is a lot less, I just persevered, but everyone may be different!

Nitro caused burning for me every single time I used it. I found nifedipine caused no irritation at all and helped with spasms.
8/16-12/16: Fissure due to antibiotics
5/17: Botox to sphincter, fissure healed
9/19: Trigger point injections and pudendal nerve block
11/19: Botox to pelvic floor
8/20: Botox to pelvic floor in new location.
On and off in pelvic physical therapy
