Cant get soft stools anymore...so much pain!

Postby Idol79 » 22 Mar 2013, 17:22

I think I have become accustom, to the prune juice I have been having for the past two years, because my stools are no longer soft, and i'm back to square one with incredible pain and bleeding with every bm. I am in despair over this, I have about 3 large internal fissures which are hard to reach. Any advice please guys!?! Image

How do I get my stools soft without the prune juice I have been having? (around 4 glasses a day)

Have you tried miralax? Its not natural, but it works.
If you are having that much constipation, I'd be concerned about your colon health and/or diet. You might not be eating something that is stopping you up, or some other lifestyle issue might be in the way.
What food is good for you is really individual. Some people need to cut out dairy or bread. Some people need less salt. A lot of people are dehydrated and need to drink more water and less coffee or sodas. Some people don't realize that they eat abnormally low amounts of fruits and vegetables. There are lots of sources of information on good healthy foods to eat, but if you are really confused, its worth going to a nutritionist so you can get a really solid foundation to work from.
Colon health concerns are best addressed by seeing a gastroenterologist.

Try a liquid diet to give those fissures time to heal up a little. That's what I always did. If you want, pop a multivitamin once a day while on liquids if your concerned of not getting enough nutrients.
For two or three days I literally take nothing more than fruit juices and milk, protein shakes and or other nutrition shakes, V8 and yogurt.
My bm sounded just like pee coming out hitting the water.
May be you changed up a little where the prune juice lost it's punch. Did you increase or decrease something else in your diet.
Did you decrease your exersice regime. Maybe a detox with a juice fast is just what your system needs to bring back to where it responds well.
Good luck..

Funny you should ask.
I saw a few good places on the web when I typed "retrain bowel" into google.
Is there no other food to keep you nice and soft.

soft veggies (cooked), some fruits daily. TAKE OIL internally - 2 tbsps daily - olive oil or coconut oil - heals the insides, keeps stools softer.
Google this : "olive oil for constipation"
start today, following this plan has allowed me to manage my fissure and get my life back - I am not cured, but I am ok.
