Do Fissures Internally 'Scab'?

Postby Anonymon » 31 Mar 2013, 04:44

Yesterday was a good day, then a rough day, then perhaps a really good day. The pain I had over time had dulled last week, then got sharp again while laying, as if it had opened up again during a spasm. Then last night, I felt kind of a sharp pinch or pain... and it was gone. Since, I'm still in pain, but it's significantly less pain in that it isn't at all sharp. The spasms seem more subdued as well.
Is it possible I had a scab inside that finally 'broke off' and gave me a little more relief? My fissure, or at least one of them, is internal.

Hi, I don't think you get scabs internally. Externally yes but when I had LIS I could feel the surgery site and a little bit of the stitch but I never felt a scab. What you may have felt is a pinch because the scar tissue formed from your fissure isn't stretching when you have a spasm. Your muscle is tightening up and causing your anus to contract. If you get that pain again, try a warm heating pad. It can really help. Suzy
