I have LIS Friday. Fissures worst pain of my life. Beyond anything I ever imagined. I am terrified however. I've been enema dependent for over a decade. Severely compromised peristalsis and resulting constipation and impaction. Warm water enemas at home. My surgeon does not think the enemas caused the fissures and says its fine to use them after. Thoughts? It seems counterintuitive. But a BM coming out is wider and bigger than an enema tip. Thoughts? Totally freaked out. How will my body function?
