Is Movicol the same as Laxido?

Postby Carolineandy » 03 May 2013, 07:25

Is Movicol the same as Laxido? I cannot tolerate Laxido, it gives me terrible stomach cramps and indigestion even though I take a tiny amount from a sachet.

Hi Carolineandy,
No, Laxido is not the same brand as Movicol, although it works in the same way as an Osmotic laxative and is very very similar. I've read it's a cheaper version of Movicol, so if you are suffering with the cramps and indigestion, it might be well to seek another alternative. See the link below for more general information regarding laxatives.
