Hi Jilly, are you using rectogesic and coconut oil? I am about 2.5 weeks post botox, I'm doing well, but, I imagine I would feel more pain if I wasn't using the recto as well....

jilly,
wondering how you are doing now? I had fissurectomy and botox done two days ago, so just looking ahead to someone who has been there...

Hi there it's been 6 weeks today since my fissurectomy & Botox & finally iam really starting feel better, it has been a long 6 weeks & at times I've felt like I wasn't getting anywhere but this week things have definately taken a turn for the better. Iam keeping my bm soft by taking lactulose every night before bed & magnesium 300mg this is giving me 1 (occasionally 2) soft & easy bm every morning. It's not yet completely pain free still stings abit but its so much better than before the surgery. I hadn't expected it to take so long to take effect but everyone is different & heals at different rates. I'm going back to work next week after 6 weeks off recovering & I do feel ready for that, just hope my recovery continues to progress now.
It's very early days for you so keep positive & wishing you all the best for your recovery.
