Prunes versus Prune Juice

Which is better ? Prune or Prune juice .I have lot of gas due to Miralax and want to take Prunes.

I'd say they are both very strong laxative for me as both gave me diarrhea. Maybe the juice is stronger because I can only find dried prune.

I think they are similar in how they work. People usually find prunes to be more tolerable than prune juice and they are easier to find in stores. I haven't personally tried prune juice, but most people I've talked to hate it. I would think that in some cases prunes/prune juice would make gas worse, though.
I personally can't eat more than one large prune at a time or I get terrible cramps (not diarrhea, but just bad cramps). I eat one large one in the morning and another in the evening and it seems to work for me. I wish I could eat more because I love prunes, but I can't. As always, drink plenty of water throughout the day.
January 2013 - Diagnosed with fissure. Eventually turned chronic.
History of IBS and anxiety disorder, along with fear of using bathrooms other than my own caused it.
Tried Diltiazem, but eventually developed a rash.
LIS surgery scheduled August 26th.

I have been eating dried prunes and still my BM's are not that soft.Tried everything....and the gas makes it worse
