First morning without pain!

Postby rw76 » 23 Sep 2013, 12:17

THis is HUGE for me. I am by no means cured and I understand I will have set backs - but for the week and a half that I have had my fissure I have had pain everyday at first all day - including sleepless nights. Then it tappered off to less pain in the afternoon, and then some days of no pain in the afternoon/evening. But in the mornings it was still rough.

Today - barely any discomfort after BM and it is noon and I am still pain free! :thanx: LORD!!!!!!
I know that there will be more pain - but this is HUGE FOR ME  YAYYYYYYY progress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I def. credit this board for getting me to this point.

Great Job rw76

Isn't that the best feeling in the world to be pain free after the prolonged throbbings and burnings. You ask yourself will it ever end!!! Boy we sure do take for granted being pain free and it is indeed a blessing my friend.

Try to bottle whatever you did to bring about this "great bm experience" and work it into your routines and you'll be well on your way to totally defeating this. Let us know what you think you did to give you this painfree bm this morning.

Honestly I do not know. I did not feel like it was much different than the previous few BM I have had. I have been using the Diltiazem for a few days now and also I recently added a homeopathic/organic essential oils product called fissure control and that seems to be helping a lot along with anything else.

Oh YAY rw76, I am so happy for you.

I would credit Time the Great Healer. The pain that feels so endless when it's happening, does finally get less and less. Hopefully to end for ever!

Wonderful news!
Nifedipine/lidocaine, no help
Diltiazem, effective, but caused major rash
Nitroglycerine, effective.
Topical estrogen for final healing.
Gentle heat to bottom - pain relief, muscle relaxant
Kondremul mineral oil
Time - lots of time.
Status - Healed!

Rw,
That's truly great to read!! It is a blessing you started to deal with this so soon.........
Just keep up all that great stuff you've been doing and please don't slip back in bad habits!!!
Stick with the Diltiazem for as long as you've been prescribed it too so you can ensure you give that area a real fighting chance of full recovery.
Fingers crossed for your continuing healing!! :sunny:

That is just such wonderful news! If you can, keep a diary, then you will start to see the progress you're making. I sometimes have 3 good days in a row now and I try to keep track of what I did on those days. Clean eating, stress reduction, and lots of water have me on the road to recover I think.

That's great news. I had my first relatively painless BM after 3 months of nitro/Miralax/fiber/water and immediately cancelled the scheduled LIS surgery.
