Ladies - Sorry for the intimate nature of this question...

Postby sugarspice » 16 Nov 2013, 05:11

Hi Ladies,

Sorry to have to ask this but I need to know!!

When you have your period do you use a tampon? My anal fissure is just starting to heal and as the vagina and the anal canal are both quite close together I don't want to put pressure on my anal canal but putting a tampon in and therefore possibly putting pressure on my fissure?! Does anyone know? I have tried researching this but cannot find out. I'm only using sanitary towels for now, just incase!!!

Lol..... I don't dare use a tampon in case the string goes backwards and irritates or injures the fissure..... Think cheese wire!! :affraid:

I just stick to pads, and buy the long ones so they absorb any moisture that may trickle back there and be potentially irritating.
:ashamed:

Hope that helps!M

Don't forget to mention your AF to your gynecologist when you go in for your annual pap . . . you will want your doctor to be especially gentle and careful.
