Christmas Has No Bearing On Countinuos Pain!!!

Postby Canadahell1 » 24 Dec 2013, 12:41

Yeah, its Christmas in Ottawa and am still suffering after almost 3 months, seeing a "new Surgeon January 15th" probally heading for surgery. Currently at the Public Library, sitting on a block of ice while I type this. The Nifidipine Lidocaine cream doesnt do a thing for me anymore, or did it ever work for me in the first place???

Maybe I will start the Nitro cream in the new year. Well all alone this season, family all DEAD, just me and the cat Miss Maggie. Meow. Lots of Fibre and hot baths and ice packs when I am outside in the fridgid cold. Yes, people still think I am having a 'heart attack" when I have to sit on the floor to relieve the constant burning pain from the spasms!!! No where to sit in grocery stores...other than the floor while you shop!! ahhhhh Happy Holiday's To Alll and may "Santa" bring you some relief!

0.2 percent nitroglycerine, a vasodilator, is good stuff as it promotes healing. Nitro, Miralax stool softener, water and fiber made a noticeable difference - especially after 3 months of use.

Hi Canada, nifedipne and lidocaine were useless for me too. I am now 99% better on 0.2% nitroglycerine. When I'm worried about constipation I take mineral oil.
Of course, water, fibre, a good diet.............
I am sorry you are alone. That makes all this pain so much harder to bear.
Nifedipine/lidocaine, no help
Diltiazem, effective, but caused major rash
Nitroglycerine, effective.
Topical estrogen for final healing.
Gentle heat to bottom - pain relief, muscle relaxant
Kondremul mineral oil
Time - lots of time.
Status - Healed!
