Incision Site

Postby lotoflove » 10 Oct 2014, 16:27

Hello,

I had LIS Surgery 8 1/2 weeks ago and went in for my visit this past Tuesday. Everything was starting to feel better however when going to the bathroom, i still was hurting from my incision site. My doctor said my incision was still wide open and that some people take longer to heal and I was a slow healer. Anyway he decided to put silver nitrate on it to see if it would help the healing process. It's been 3 days and I am still in pain and now starting to bleed. My doctor just keeps telling me to give it time. Has anyone ever had their incision site take awhile to heal?

I read about a girl whose incision took 3 months to heal but she was very happy with surgery in the long run and didn't have issues after that. My incision healed right away but then I retore at 3 months. I do think you hound give it a bit more time. Best of luck!

Did the doctor do anything else to the incision? I wish he would of left mine alone. It hurts so bad to have a bowel movements all over again. What happen to you?
