Yes... I did it on my own, no surgery came close. Here is my 'secret': hot baths every day with baking soda, heaping teaspoon of Metamucil once a day 1/2 water 1/2.Cranberry Juice. Still do this every day even after healing. Avoid Flax Seeds but still use 7 and 12 Grain breads. Every morning mix fiber cereal with Oatmeal and a banana. Stick to this and it should help!!! I was in terrible pain for 12 mths straight and it finally let up with this daily routine. Told my doctor, no surgery, so happy!! October 12 2014. Good Luck!!

yes, still no pain and am maintaining soft stools with my new regular diet. Avoid cheese, well not too much cheese! Still have 1/2 bottle of unused Nifodpine cream in my drawer...just in case. Drink plenty of water too even now when the weather is cooling down here in the Great White North. Cheers!!
