Just had a talk with my CRS. I'm getting LIS in a few weeks. It's healed, but it's still very very tight, and i don't see any other way out of this right now. Still no extreme pain, but I've had fissures from time to time for the past 9 years, so I think LIS is the only option I've got left Surgery does not scare me at all at this point.

Your CRS lacks empathy. She's someone I'd ditch pretty fast. Pain is real.

Would agree about what Daisy said. Pain is not in your head. What a silly statement for a doctor to utter. Have a look at this link about empathy less doctors.

What a great article. There are lots of reasons a doctor might lack social skills. In fact, I went to one who had a very good reputation at a major medical center. Something about him seemed odd. I didn't go back. I found another CRS.
If your insurance allows it, then just find another. It sounds like the nerve endings are causing the pain, and another doctor might have a new insight. Also, I've been reading a lot by Dr. David Rosenfeld. You might find something helpful nere. here. http://davidrosenfeldmd.com/

Hi, I haven't been to him, but he does sound super terrific. He communicates well. I also learned a lot about the Pruritis Ani, which is plaguing me. Also, I think his write up on the other conditions are top-rate as well.

Regarding David Rosenfeld,

When I was at a low point last year I sent this lovely man an email. Now I know he is in the US and I am over here in the UK and never thought I would ever get to meet him, but the very next day I had a reply from the man himself. He was so very kind and considerate, he even offered to see me if I was ever over there. I was so amazed that this guy had taken the time to reply to me and so quickly too. I think I'd be lucky to get a similar response from any CRS here in the UK.

There are not many doctors that will do that...props to dr. Rosenfeld

He sounds like a nice doctor. A rare commodity from what I have found in the CRS field. Thanks again for the heads up folks
