Colostomy bag?

Postby msimon » 17 Dec 2014, 19:19

Anyone ever hear of getting a colostomy bag to heal from a fissure? I am at my wits end with this fissure and want my life back so bad. Feel like my LIS is failing and don't know what else to try as the spastic muscles are the problem and if I could just quit pooping for a while.

Would a Doctor ever entertain this?

What sort of issues are there that I am not thinking of?
Dec '13 Fissure from anoscope
3 X internal sphincter botox
'08-'15 Botox for pelvic floor dysfunction
Nov '14 LIS/sentinel tag removal
Feb '15 Deroofing of recurrent infection from LIS
summer '15-healed but still ongoing muscle dysfunction/pain

I think someone else had a similar topic a while back. In his/her case it was the doctor who suggested a colostomy bag, if I dont remember it all wrong!
When i had to g too the hospital because of the extreme pain back in february, I actually asked the CRS for a colostomy bag in puuure desperation. He said this was actually done - but only in extreme cases.
I too would do just about anything to get my life back.
