((hugs)) to you too, Fissurefrustration.
Most days I try not to let the fissure interfere with my life... but with food and holidays it's really hard. Also my romantic life... I don't know if I will ever feel sexy or in the mood again. *sigh* It doesn't help that my partner and I have been foodies and we have always bonded over going out to eat together. We both love spicy food and he can't seem to cook without making it too spicy or too decadent, so I'm sure he feels constantly rejected because I end up putting his food aside for something fissure friendly. And he probably feels punished when I cook because it's all gotten so boring. Also it seems like my broken bum is all I ever talk about anymore... blech. If I were him I would have left me a while ago. (Suffering from really low self-esteem right now... sorry.)
Sorry you didn't have a fun night either. I hope you find relief soon! Think of how appreciative we will be for our lives and our health once all of this is over...
