2 weeks on nitro .2%

Postby hurtinend » 03 May 2015, 13:13

Ok so after a few months of hurting I decided to try the nitro .2% cream my doctor prescribed way back in January.

I must say, my discomfort is reduced 70% since starting it. I am surprised yet pleased. I do fear that when I finish the dosage the evil will return.

I also have diltiazem on hand.

Fingers crossed, a shout out to new sufferers, get to a doctor and try these prescription creams if other things aren't helping.

Great! If the nitro is helping you, that is wonderful. If you still have pain when your dosage is finished, ask for more. You can use it long term.

Seriously, I would not wait to see if other things are helping or not. I would include nitro, dilt. or nifedipine into your regime from the get-go. What ever else you are doing in the way of laxatives, diet, increasing water, using a sitz bath, one of the creams should be a part of your treatment.
Nifedipine/lidocaine, no help
Diltiazem, effective, but caused major rash
Nitroglycerine, effective.
Topical estrogen for final healing.
Gentle heat to bottom - pain relief, muscle relaxant
Kondremul mineral oil
Time - lots of time.
Status - Healed!

Yes, I assume I would only take 1 cream at a time, right?

I have lost 30 pounds in the last 5 months, by reducing carbs like pasta and bread, and adding green smoothies, also this had a profound effect on the bowel, in a good way.

But probably only one kind, not two or three during one course of treatment. I edited my post to make that a bit clearer.
