Lidocaine in burn compound ?

Postby jay1975 » 01 Aug 2015, 18:34

I got a chance to use Lidocaine for the first time the other day during a medical procedure, and it helped immensely with the AF pain. I believe that the form of lidocaine used during this procedure is available only in prescription....

I do know that lidocaine is used in over-the-counter burn compounds. I'm wondering if out of desperation anyone here has tried using a lidocaine based burn compound for AF pain relief ?

Thx !

Don't know where you are from
Here in Canada you can buy Lidocaine/Xylocaine cream or gel 5%, I am not familiar with the burn compound.

Either way I have used it a few times and found it helpful

Funny thing I have Diltiazem mixed with only 2% Lidocaine and that seems to sting
