I suppose if the fissure didn't heal well, as in there is a residual granuloma or scar tissue from a chronic fissure. If it was an acute fissure that healed well, then I suspect the CRS won't see it. But even active fissures can be hard to see (doctors overlook them frequently). My current CRS couldn't see any evidence of my fissurectomy or LIS from six years ago, even though they didn't heal well and my previous CRS had to scrape off granulomas and eventually carterize.
8/09 - 12/10: fissure, cured by LIS/fissurectomy
1/17 - present: fissure/hemms, healed but pain remained, 3 CRSs (nifedipine, infrared coag) were no help, cold dilating >= 1" helped but still have pain when sitting
