Crazy Spasms

Postby Aljumps » 11 Jan 2023, 11:26

New to this page.. had a run in with antibiotics a few months ago they changed my pop consistency.. would have been fine if that was my only issue :/

Spasms started spontaneously 3 weeks ago.. had one bloody wiping after a bm where I strained a bit prob from taking a fiber supplement.

Now the spasms are so crazy they go all day - moving my foot when sitting can trigger them- CRS saw a fissure yesterday when I went for exam.

Now taking Nifedipine/lidocaine topical cream- any recommendations on dealing with spasms - anyone ever have them super bad? It’s brutal :(

Had a fistula surgery 3 years ago so not sure what next options are safe for me..

That’s what I’m dealing with right now. I had a bout of diarrhea last night and then the spasms started in my sleep and woke me up. I went diarrhea again this morning and the pain is continuing, I also don’t know how to get them to stop. Heat nor cold seems to help. Nifedipine and lidocaine burn to use right now.

Anyway of getting to the area will help - very hot bath, sitz bath, water bottle, heating pad.

I ended up going in for Botox and tag removal. It’s been 3 weeks. I’m pain free, slight bleeding and a different tag came back, but I feel SOOOO much better. Doc said my fissure was huge, very deep and long! She wasn’t surprised I was in horrific pain. I’ll be going in for a second round of Botox once my time is up on this dosage. She said my fissure will take 4-6 months to heal.
