Should I use a specialist in Proctology or would it be safe to use a very good general surgeon?

I was diagnosed with a Chronic anal fissure over 10 months ago and am just finishing a unsuccessful
month of nitroglycerin treatment. Now considering two surgeons one is a specialist in Proctology and the
Other a very good general surgeon. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Gracias EMD

I would always go with the specialist over a general surgeon. Hope all works out well for you!
8/16-12/16: Fissure due to antibiotics
5/17: Botox to sphincter, fissure healed
9/19: Trigger point injections and pudendal nerve block
11/19: Botox to pelvic floor
8/20: Botox to pelvic floor in new location.
On and off in pelvic physical therapy
