Hi all,
I just wanted to introduce myself. I have struggled with AFs for 12 years now. I have always noticed a direct correlation with my fiber and water intake with my AFs. In the past 5 years I've had 4 children and it has really effected my AF. I had a C-section with each child and I had severe constipation after each baby and it just tore me up. I seemed to heal fairly quickly until this last child. He's 6 months old and I still bleed when I have a bowel movement. Fiber and water intake doesn't seem to effect whether or not I bleed.
I also developed a skin tag that I've had for awhile but in the past month it has grown so much that I'm very alarmed. I haven't been to a doctor recently and have an appointment to be seen hopefully within the next month after my doctors referral.
Doctors in the past have just told me to improve my diet and have blown me off otherwise. I'm really interested in reading what you all have done to help heal the AFs as well as how the surgeries went. Surgery makes me nervous but I'm tired of being in pain when I have a BM.
I don't talk about this with anyone really because it is such a sensitive topic. It's nice to have a place to speak openly.
