I just finished my second round of Botox today. The first was back in October and didn't show many results at first.
I felt better this morning, having missed out on the headache I had from fasting last time. However, it took the anesthesiologist three tries to get my vein - ouch!
Post-op, I was in significantly more pain than I was from my first round of Botox combined with a tag removal. I had tears in my eyes. The CRS came by and said that they didn't use the local anesthetic, which might be why I am experiencing pain. They opted not to use it, because last time I developed a terrible rash, which they fear might be related to it. On the bright side, he did say the AF looked like it was healing more compared to when I saw him two weeks ago, so he was hopeful this second round would work.
I am still in pain. My muscle seems to be tightening really hArd, and every once in a while it releases, and OUCH! At least that's what it feels like. He also said sometimes with Botox that the fissure can tear a little again.
Right now, I am on Percocet and sitting on a heat pad, which is helping. I will probably take a sitz
Bath shortly for more relief, but I want to keep the antibiotic gauze in a little longer.
I am supposed to go to work tomorrow, and the CRS said that's fine. The nurse and resident doctor seemed to think I might want one more day off, so we'll see how tonight goes.
Good news, though, about it looking like it's healing!
