Vitamin C

Postby Guest » 23 Feb 2008, 10:19

For those of you that take vitamin C supplements, how much do you take per day? Is it really necessary if you eat a lot of fruits and veggies everyday? Does it have an effect on BM's?

I take (2) 1000 mg of Vitamin C every day. I think it helps with healing. It can make your stools runny so you may have to titer the dosage to see what works for you. I kind of like that is loosens it up a bit but that can sting on the way out combined with the acidic properties of Vitamin C.

It is my understanding that extra Vitamin C can cause loose stools. For some AF sufferers, that can be a blessing. But not everyone will react the same, of course.
More than one of my supplements contain high doses of C but I still prefer to get it from fruit
