Around June of 2016 I wiped too hard and bled and the area was so painful for a week.

Since then it has bled a few times mainly after impacted stools.

Every time it bleeds theres a period of a couple weeks after that I leak this yellow mucus that makes my anus itch bad.

No pain. Even when it bleeds after a hard stool theres no pain.

I started taking magnesium and drinking more water and eating less and this has been helping to prevent future bleeding.

Is this yellow normal? For a while I thought it was fecal matter but it doesnt smell and is faint yellow when my bowel movements are brown.

My guess is its healing and this straw colored fluid is normal.

Im debating surgery, this is not going away, but since im not in pain even when it re rips im hesistant as I heard incontinence can happen.

In fact the only time its painful is when it first happened over the summer. Each re rip is painless, dont even know it happened until I wipe and see a big spot of blood. Bowel movements after arent painful either. I think im in the minority here.

Also how long do these take to fully heal provided I can prevent it from re tearing?

I dont get the spasms people are talking about.

Perhaps im lucky?

Last week it reopened after I didnt drink enough water the day before while I was exercising and must have gotten dehydrated. Since its been leaking this yellow straw colored mucus after bowel movements.

I normally drink 2-3L on a non work out day and 4L on a work out day. That work out day I believe I had only 2L.

No one has any input?

Im never in pain with the fissure. It just leaks this yellow mucus which makes the area itch and causes me to wipe a lot to clean up which puts unnessecary friction and rubbing around the area.

Even when it rerips.

Im,noticing a pattern. The nights following heavy drinking is when ill wake up and have a huge BM.

Its soft but is too wide.

Perhaps I need to eat less so my BMs are,smaller?

I feel like fiber would just add to the sizes of my BMs.

You may have an infection, but only a trip to the doctor can tell you that.

Maybe...its more like a straw colored fluid which ive heard is a sign your body is healing.

I,know when I had surgery a few years ago for something unrelated thats what they told me.

It seems it will rip, bleed initially and then leak this straw colored fluid up to a week.

Lately it just keeps reripping weekly so its like im constantly dealing with the leakage.

My last fissure tear was 2-25-17

So far so good, occasionally ill still get faint red streaks on the toilet paper if I wipe dry or too aggressively. But after BM,i still get this yellow leakage.

This hasnt gone away aside for a couple times for a week or so at a time.

The Gastro keeps blowing off my appointments and im getting frustrated.

It felt like the fissure was no longer there but now I can feel it again without having a new tear so that is odd.

I figured id be healed by now.

Anyone else get faint red streaks on paper. Seems superficial.

Am I still on the road to healing? It seems like some days I have no leakage and usually a reopening would cause leakage to start but I havent had any reopenings in 6 weeks.

Are these faint red streaks anything to worry about? Its not deep red like Id get with a reopening but it worries me.
