Anyone ever refused Botox? I don't want it

Hi everyone, has anyone ever heard of boardies refusing the Botox injections?? I have decided most definately against them. Will the CRS give me LIS still?? Image

It's your body Andrea, and they have to respect your wishes. I wasn't even offered it, but I would have refused it too, if it was offered as I have lots of allergies. Also, most UK boardies have had to have multiple shots and/or gone on to have LIS anyway. What a waste of time suffering! I just wanted the quickest, most permanent solution to end those delightful spasms!

I too have tried botox 3 times. The second one made me looser for about 3-4 days after that tight as ever before. Totally useless for me the other times. So it will be answer I tried Botox but it did not heal me.
That says it all doesn't it! Image

Well, yes! Who wants to go through that over and over again!
It does heal some people - we've had more on here lately (maybe they have perfected the dose!!) but when I first joined, nearly everyone went on to have LIS afterwards.

I was never offered Botox either and I felt the same as Val.
NG and Bambi had it recent before their LIS and are both from the US. Ng said it was blissful for three months...I think Bambi had two rounds. Her experience should be in the surgery threads.
From what I've read online, it seems to have higher success when it's combined with fissurectomy Image

psss. Val, do you remember someone named Patty from the earlier days? I think she is the one who healed after 4 rounds of getting the botox, but I'm not sure...

Seen as the botox wears off, and you might (after a couple of pricks up ur backside lol,) heal that fissure. It won't cure us long term will it? It only takes one bad bm and surely ur then back to square one. Thanx for the replies girls and this gal is going straight for LIS... Image

Hi there! I just wanted to say that it's totally up to the individual and the extent of the fissure I think. I had one round of botox three months ago and had my followup with my CRS two weeks ago, and am completely healed. No more pain and I feel back to normal again. For me, personally, I'd say it's worth a shot. It's not permanent like a cut which means that if it doesn't work, you're no worse off. Just a thought. Do what's best for you.

AMMMMMMmmmm Backkkkk :D
Am still having usual problems back there but am managing them with Vaseline & Movicol. Seeing CRS on Friday and am adamant I am not getting Botox. Want LIS as don't see any point putting off the inevitable.
As far as the Botox Injections go, I understand it is each to their own and a personal choice. For me, it's a no brainer so am left to convince CRS now. Will see what he says lol......God help him as he got one pain in the ass customer Image
