Anyone ever try leaning back to poop?

Postby msimon » 06 Sep 2014, 19:38

If you scroll down the page and watch the video this lady says to lean back if you have an anal stricture as it takes the pressure off the rectum. I just wonder if anyone has tried this and how it went for them...

About 2 minutes in she talks about stenosis...

Thanks Msimon,
It's interesting viewing but have to say that these days, I'm a squat convert!
Everything seems to just fall out so much easier that way - I can't recall the last time I actually sat on a toilet seat! I literally squat over it with two feet on the seat and support myself using the toilet walls with my arms.....I find the actual movement of positioning myself and lowering my body to evacuate does the job brilliantly these days!
Personally, I never found sitting back any help, leaning slightly forwards was more effective....

Thanks:) Yeah, I tried the lean back to day and nothing was working! The door was shut! So much for that.

Squatting was working for me but I am so spastic right now nothing is working :(

I lean forwards. We have a little footstool in our bathroom, and I'll sometimes put my feet up on it.
Nifedipine/lidocaine, no help
Diltiazem, effective, but caused major rash
Nitroglycerine, effective.
Topical estrogen for final healing.
Gentle heat to bottom - pain relief, muscle relaxant
Kondremul mineral oil
Time - lots of time.
Status - Healed!

Do you do this in public restrooms, too? I use Squatty Potty stools at home (haven't gone to a full squat, yet), and I have to take my bottoms off to use it. I can't imagine undressing so far in public. How do you manage? Thanks!!

Hi,
Exactly the same method at work (although I do try to avoid public toilets as much as possible to poop!!)......
I guess I am so accustomed to doing this now and it feels so normal now that I just adapt my squat to whatever environment I poop in! - I just pull my trousers down as normal and do the deed, but I guess you just need to get used to it. It feels so much better this way :)

So, I have to amend what I said about not leaning back, because I realised I do lean back sometimes during a poop. I'll lean forward, lean back, whatever position seems to help with getting that last bit out. The lean back does sometimes seem to help.
