1 week from botox

Postby shouldi » 04 Dec 2012, 02:57

Hi All,
Well its 1 week today since i had my botox, i am still waiting to start to feel different as people talk about, but really have not noticed much yet..
i am back to work and doing most normal things, still find it a bit uncomfortable to sit for a long time, but as i say a bit uncomfortable... am going for a BM with no pain and no bleeding now.. and seem to have sorted the right amount of prune juice for me :D . i still have some bruising and a small swelling which feels vein like near the opening but its certainly getting smaller, i finish the antibiotics today for the infection from 1 injection site.
am eating stewed fruit daily, vegetables and fish, lots of water to drink, no alcohol, and will continue with this until i see the surgeon as worth it if it helps to heal..continuing with fybogel twice daily as have done for the last 6 months..
the diet has lost me 4lbs in the last week so something good as come of it :D

Hi All,

Sorry all have not given any updates for last few days as been busy after the sad news that my mum passed away suddenly..
its now 11 days since botox and all was going well until this mornings BM which was difficult and had slight bleeding, i know its because i have not been eating correctly due to circumstances, i am going to try hard to get back to where i was a few days ago.. so fruit stewed ready and fish out for dinner tonight...
i think some of the problems have been the stress i am going through, but am trying hard to control it all...

Dear shouldi,
I am so sorry to hear your heartbreaking news. Try to look after yourself as best you can under the circumstances. I know that's easier said than done when you are grieving for a loved one.

My deepest sympathies shouldi - as others have mentioned, stress certainly can have an effect on digestion. Thinking of you at this time (((hugs)))

shouldi,
sorry to hear about your mom. I am wondering how you are doing now longer after botox? I just had it done on Monday, Dec 10th. I notice no difference. I'm not sore from the injections or anything... not since that same day... but I feel no better/different... I actually feel worse. The fissure is larger than ever. My doc said that's from the thing they put in to like keep it open for the injections (lovely), and it has this huge skin tag now, which I also never had before. I'm just wondering if you feel like the botox is working. I wonder if it's slow to start or if one day I'll wake up and notice a difference. I'm just so frustrated.

Hi,
I'm very sorry to hear of your mum passing away. My thoughts are with you! Image
Don't get disheartened about your "set back". Stress like everyone has said will affect you.
I had Botox done 4 weeks ago and during exams and assignments week, my BM was painful with a lot of blood.
I hope you have an easy and speedy recovery during this christmas
